On my continued journey to step outside the box and try wines that I have heard about in lecture, I picked up this Cabernet Franc while grocery shopping this week!

After a mild re-corking crisis, luckily after I had already had one untainted glass, I decided that I really liked the taste of the Cabernet Franc. After doing some more research on this wine once I got home and had tasted it, I learned that it was a Walmart wine. I am now very interested to try a possibly "higher scale" Cabernet Franc and compare it to this one.

I thought the plum notes were very strong and I have found that I am leaning towards darker fruits when I am tasting all these different wines. I had this wine without food and really did find it very enjoyable, I thought it was very smooth and a great bang for my buck at Walmart! This wine is a great medium body and I think it could go well with any savory meal.
